En Proipafisa we are well aware that the main asset and cornerstone of our company is our human team. The company is organised around two main teams which handle different tasks:
Technical design team:
- Development of new equipment and its mechanisms
- Structural designs
- Improvements in pneumatic transport and ancillary systems
Executive team:
- Cold transformation and welding team
- Mechanics
- Assembly
In addition, we have a complete external assembly team, which, with the support of the technical team, guarantees fast and effective execution on site, and makes it possible to accept turnkey orders.
The industrial activity is carried out in our plant located in Celrà, a town 60 km from the French border. The company is therefore strategically located between Spain and Europe and well communicated both nationally and internationally.
SINCE 1975
HISTORY OF THE COMPANY
Proipapel, an engineering company, was founded in Sabadell in 1975. Two years later, the company moved to Girona and started creating small designs that were initially included in other installations.
In 1983, the company was restructured and changed its name to Proipafisa.
The company then transformed its engineering services to start providing comprehensive services. It also began developing its own equipment to offer solutions to the specific needs of local industry.
It soon expanded nationally and high demand for the company’s services spread to new industrial sectors, leading to the integration of new equipment into Proipafisa’s service provision.
In the following years, with the company already well established and having gained the trust of our national and international customers, Proipafisa enjoyed a fruitful period in which new equipment, specifically designed for the paper auxiliary industry, was created. New equipment was patented over these years.
Proipafisa also entered the wine sector with innovative equipment for grape pressing and must filtration, with the aim of preventing oxidation of the grapes after pressing and reducing fermentation times by eliminating the decanting process.
It also started creating new technological designs for the rolling paper industry (RYO), which are nowadays particularly well appreciated and accepted worldwide. Anticipating the future evolution and technological transformation in the graphic arts sector, the company expanded its market to companies working in the packaging sector. Our innovative SINGLE LINE system and the new CICLOTURBO separator were introduced, and this system ended up becoming a standard in the sector.
In 2005, Proipafisa moved to its new plant in Celrà (Girona). These new premises increased the company’s design capacity linked to the construction process of its own equipment.
Proipafisa started providing solutions for the pharmaceutical industry for the recovery of highly polluting particles, such as hormone dust generated during the tablet manufacturing process. Thanks to our Cicloturbo separator, 98% recovery is achieved through centrifugation and the remaining 2% through total filtration.
En el sector alimentario, aprovechando la experiencia acumulada, se da solución a la eliminación y el tratamiento automático de subproductos, para poder cumplir con las estrictas normativas sanitarias del sector.
ACTUALIDAD
Proipafisa is a fully established and recognised company.
Due to market demand, it has now focused on two main sectors: packaging and RYO rolling paper.
In the packaging sector, it has specialised in the supply and assembly of complete turnkey installations to process the rejected products from corrugated cardboard handling plants. In doing so, it has managed to optimise consumption in a practical and simple way while trying to avoid subsequent maintenance and protecting the environment at the same time.
